this is action movies, I have chose the same genre for my short film

This is Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice.
It is an Action film based on two Marvel Heroes, it is directed by Zack Snyder and it was released on 25 March 2015

This is comedy genre and my film is action and comedy genre,

This a comedy/sport film called The Waterboy, it is based on a kid who serves water to american football team but it turns out to be comedy.

I used this for my research so it could give me knowledge on my work.
Most of the films are action and other were comedy and I want my film to be both so I thought what if I blend the 2 films in.
I also looked up at age rating because it could help me to pick a rating for my film.
It helped me with talking about the age and what is acceptable for specific age.

This book is based on short films and it talks about how short films were made and this talks about the history of short films. It didn't really help me because it was talking about the film history

my short film script

I am working on a short film based on a college student being late for his class. The title is "Late For Class"
There will be about 4 actors.
Actor A= Student
Actor B= a stranger carrying paper
Actor C a angry or aggressive person.
Actor D= Teacher

The shot will be from point A to point B. The location is near Nottingham Railway Station. Actor A will be the main character. He will be late for his class, as he looks at his watch then he stresses out and runs toward college, He will be introduced to Actor B by bumping in to him and dropping his paperwork, Actor A will help Actor B by picking his paperwork up and giving it back to him, after that he will start running again, later he will be introduced to Actor C by accidentally pushing in, Actor C gets angry and he pushes Actor A in an aggressive mood, Actor A runs again and he enters the college building, while Actor A is going up the stairs he will trip on the floor, Actor A will have a short vision of him getting shouted at by his teacher (Actor D) but later Actor A will enter the class and he sees no one in the class, Actor A will look around and he will see the college clock which will notify him that he is 30 minutes early and his watch is 30 minutes fast.

 This is my location reconnaissance. At first  I didn't how to change the aperture and it came out bad but later I manage to get good pictures.



The reason why I picked this location was because it would have good camera angles and the location was near college so if we carry heavy equipment it won't take us long to get there.

final major project proposal

I have decided to do video production because out of all my assignments I enjoy filming so I am doing video production which would be a short film and it's based on a student being late for his class. I will make a story board, location recce, safety hazards and a script. This will make my project look more professional and it is written on the assignment brief.

I will use a camera and a tripod but I will carry it in a case so it will be safe and later I will edit my short film by using Adobe Premiere. I will add sound using sound booth and I will get a soundtrack from the internet. For my short film I have have about 4 actors who will be, a student (Actor A) a stranger walking down the street (Actor B) an angry person (Actor C) who gets bumped by the student (Actor C) and a teacher shouting at the student for being late. But he dreams and I can zoom back to the running scene, when he arrives in the class he sees no one in the class and he looks at his watch and he thinks that he is 5 minutes late but then he sees a college clock and later he knows he is an hour early.  

I want my work to be simple and unique which  would have better camera angles which I will talk about on my story board and I will try to make it in to a comedy because it will have a positive effect on the general audience.I have found some actors who are going to be in my short film. I will use  Panasonic video camera to record my film. I want to make this film because I want to see my viewers happy and laughing which gives them a happy experience.

I looked at my previous work and that inspired me to make a new project because most of my work has comedy scenes which has made my audience happy, and I will make a schedule so it will keep me up to date.

I'm going to research on action and comedy films and this will help me to make a unique short film. I will look at flashbacks and speech bubbles. To do this I will research films, adverts and posters because it will give me knowledge in making my own film. I could use my own flashbacks and a character's own thoughts.

I will present it myself and I will talk about the film and why I made it. Later I will play the film and after that I will ask if the viewers have any questions.
